New York Champagne Week was founded in November 2013 by Wine Enthusiast 40-under-40 taste-maker, Blaine Ashley aka ‘Champagne Blaine’. The week of champagne fueled events earned raves for it’s creative approach to marketing champagne to wine industry, media and consumers alike.

Each year, Ashley creates cutting edge event concepts like ‘Let’s get Fizz-acle’, a catchier name for a vertical tasting, a comparative glassware seminar entitled ‘Back that Glass Up’ and ‘The FIZZ is Female’ which celebrates female-owned, made and/or heavily helmed champagnes. The entire week is comprised of a mix of poppin’ bottles at parties, food and champagne pairing experiences, champagne education, unveiling undiscovered brands to the trade and media and overall on-going category awareness.

2019 events will shine a spotlight on grower champagnes, undiscovered gems, new brand launches and fizz made and/or owned by females.
