The FIZZ is Female is a women’s empowerment movement and event series dedicated to celebrating and elevating women in the sparkling wine industry. Founded in 2018 by Blaine Ashley—a prominent sparkling wine promoter and creator of New York Champagne Week—the platform highlights female winemakers, brand owners, sommeliers, corporate powerhouses, and media professionals.
The movement typically hosts panel discussions, virtual tastings, and networking events designed to bring visibility to women leading the "bubbly" industry.

You’re invited to toast to the upcoming National Prosecco Day with Valdo Prosecco on the historic Ventura Sail Boat for a drinks industry sail. Co-hosted by New York Champagne Week X The FIZZ is Female founder, Blaine Ashley alongside Adrienne Cooper, host of the Sparkling Sunday Series, attendees will relish in a range of Proseccos by Valdo as well as refreshing spritz style bubbly cocktails too. And, nosh on a La Dolce Vita apero bite menu by Giada Calcagni while taking in views of Lady Liberty, the city scape and kicking back with friends in the biz while popping bottles of bubbly.
